  For the major muscle groups, these free-weight exercises will increase muscular strength and endurance and will improve flexibility, range of motion, and body tone. Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly. All ages and levels of fitness are welcome; progress will be according to ability. Bring an exercise mat and 1- 5 pound weights. Dramatic change is almost always part of an evolutionary process.  This five-class series will examine the earliest seeds of impressionism in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries as well as the art of its major practitioners in the nineteenth century.  Neo-impressionism and post-impressionism, contrary to what their names suggest, developed simultaneously with impressionism, but with a focus on structure, order, and the optical effects of color dominating the aesthetic vision.  Our five class series will trace the origins, considerations, and directions of these highly innovative movements.
