How do I register for a class?

Our course offerings appear online by category. When you find something that interests you, you have the following options for registering:

ONLINE: Online registration is quick, safe and easy. You will receive instant confirmation of your transaction. To ensure your spot in a class this is the preferred method of registration. To register online:

  1. At the home page of our website, www.ScarsdaleAdultSchool.org, search “All Classes” on the left hand side of the page for various class options (type of class, day of week). If you know the class you want, search via the gray search box (upper right side of page). Enter the class name or 4 digit course # and then hit the orange “Go” button.
  2. To register, click “Add to Cart” which is below the class information. You will be prompted to sign in if you have not already. If you are a new student, you will need to click on “Create Student Profile” to create your account before proceeding.
  3. Select the number of students you are registering. You can register friends through your student profile. You will be prompted to enter the name of additional students. You are assumed to be the first student.
  4. Read and accept the General Waiver. If you are registering someone else, please note you are accepting the waiver on their behalf.
  5. Repeat Steps 1 – 4 to register for additional classes.
  6. To see the classes you have chosen click “View Cart.” If you are ready to pay, click “Check out.” Both links are on the top right of the webpage.
  7. The Shopping Cart will have a summary of the classes you chose with Student Details, Class Details and Amount. Under the Amount column you will see the tuition cost and also a requirement to accept the refund policy. You must check the box for each class. The refund policy is on the previous page.
  8. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Checkout.” Finish the registration by filling in credit card information. We accept Visa, Mastercard or Discover. When you see the “Thank you” screen, you have completed your registration. This step is very important!
  9. We will send the Zoom link for each class the day prior to the class start date.

BY PHONE: Call the registrar at (914) 723-2325, M-F, 9 am - Noon to register for classes. If you get our voicemail, please leave a message and we will do our best to return your call as soon as possible. During peak times, we do encourage you to register yourself either online or by check.

Some courses fill up quickly. Occasionally, a course is canceled due to low registration, so early registration is appreciated. If you register by mail, you will receive notification if the course for which you have signed up is full. We cannot reserve a space in a class unless we receive full payment.

Some courses have several sections; please use name and number (including section number, date and time) to identify each course if registering by mail. This information is recorded automatically when registering online.

For additional questions regarding registration, please e-mail the School's Registrar at

When are the classes held?

Classes are held throughout the year, in a daytime and an evening curriculum. In each season, students can choose from a multitude of classes, seminars, lectures, and workshops. Some classes meet for several weeks, others only once.

  • The Fall program begins in September.
  • All classes will be held online via Zoom.
  • Courses are scheduled to start throughout the term.
  • Individual classes have scheduled days off; please refer to specific listings.
  • Many courses have limited enrollment and fill up immediately on a first-come/first-served basis.

Where do classes meet?

A Zoom link will be sent, by email, one day prior to the class start date. Please be sure we have your correct email address. Please register at least one full day prior to the class start. Late registrations run the risk of not receiving the Zoom link.

Classes that have more than one session will use the same Zoom link for the entire run of the class. Please keep the Zoom link available for the entire class. We will not be sending the Zoom link each week. All questions should be directed to the Scarsdale Adult School office number, (914) 723-2325, or e-mailed to Registrar@ScarsdaleAdultSchool.org.

Who are the faculty members?

Outstanding teachers in all fields teach at the School. Every effort is made to find the best possible teachers for each course. Many teachers are on the faculties of nearby colleges and universities. Some are Westchester residents. While every effort is made to engage responsible teachers, the School assumes no responsibility for course content.
