Walking Tour: American Wing at the Met

The newly updated American Wing comprises approximately 20,000 works of art by African American, Euro American, Latin American, and Native American artists. Ranging from the colonial to early-modern periods, the holdings include painting, sculpture, works on paper, and decorative arts, including furniture, textiles, ceramics, glass, silver, metalwork, jewelry, basketry, quill and bead embroidery, as well as historical interiors and architectural fragments. The wing includes a courtyard, multiple balconies, and historical interior period rooms to display this impressive and ever-evolving collection. This visit will not repeat any works shown during the November 2024 tour.
