Film Discussion: The Horse Whisperer (1998), a Robert Redford Retrospective

In honor of Robert Redford's career as an actor, director, and creator of the Sundance Institute, discuss the quintessential Redford sensibilities in one of his many moving films, The Horse Whisperer (1998). He both starred in and directed that movie which co-starred Kristin Scott Thomas and a young Scarlett Johansson and was based on a novel by Nicholas Evans. Film must be viewed in advance of class. Discussion will also touch upon his other works; students are encouraged to watch additional Redford movies to bring to the conversation.
