Introduction to Digital Photography

Leave auto mode behind and learn how to use that new camera. This course introduces beginners to the fundamental creative and technical possibilities of digital photography through classroom lectures, demonstrations, and instructor-led photo shoots. Topics include camera operation, exposure controls, shutter, aperture, ISO, white balance, depth of field, focus modes, composition, storytelling, portraiture and landscape photography. A digital single lens reflex camera or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses and manual settings is required. Please bring your fully charged camera, instruction manual, and notebook.
