
This course is an introduction to the essentials of Italian. The focus is on learning the structure of the language itself as well as its practical use, clear pronunciation, and useful expressions that help learners start speaking Italian. Students learn fundamental grammar rules, including subject pronouns, present tense verbs, articles, basic sentence structure, and essential question forms, while practicing greetings and introductions, ordering food and drinks, asking for basic information, describing people and places, talking about daily routines, and navigating daily life and travel situations. This class is a continuation of the Spring 2026 session. New students must have some beginner knowledge of the language. Purchase of a textbook may be required.
