Walking Tour: DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park

Learn about Brooklyn's mercantile past and vibrant present. Visit recently completed sections of the waterfront park and two notable nineteenth century historic districts while considering how the venerable Eagle Warehouse and Empire Stores have found exciting new uses as apartments and commercial space. Highlights include pioneering examples of reinforced concrete construction by William Higginson as well as striking contemporary works by Morris Ajmi, Jean Nouvel, and Marvel Architects.
