Looking to build or regain muscle tone, balance and range of motion? This stimulating yet restorative class will help build strength and endurance and improve flexibility. Participants will learn to exercise safely and correctly. The class, which is chair-based, but includes standing exercises, is perfect for the active older adult who has difficulty with floor exercises. Students with mild and severe arthritis find the class invaluable for both the seated and standing exercises. Participants will work on lower and upper body strength and conditioning, mostly while in a seated position. Students should bring 1 to 5 lb. weights (optional) and water. Yoga straps or bands are used to assist in stretching and are available for purchase at first class.
