Learn the ins and outs of grant writing!  Find out where to look for money and how to request what you need.  Explore the different parts of a grant from the initial letter of inquiry to reporting grant results.  Topics to be covered include: prospect research; organization needs; proposal descriptions; identifying problems/needs to be addressed; goals and outcomes; and budgets.  Whether you need help with honing your organization’s mission statement or need to refresh your writing, this course will help you become a better grant writer with clear, concise messaging and strong, persuasive writing.  Good grant writing requires not only skill in prose but also a fundamental understanding of the nonprofit world and certain techniques of writing a solid proposal.  You will leave the course with sample writing statements for your organization and sample budgets.
